Trophy Hunters

We target the biggest fish in the lake — every trip, every cast.

Largemouth, smallmouth, spotted — if it's a lunker, we're chasing it.

On The Water

Tournaments, weekend grinds, sunup to sundown. The chase never stops.

About The Crew

Who We
Are.

The Lunker Chaser's started the way every good fishing story does — a few buddies, a boat, and one stubborn obsession with putting big fish in the net. What began as weekend grinds turned into a full-blown crew chasing the biggest bass we can find.

We're not weekend warriors padding a stringer with dinks. We're hunting lunkers — the fish that bend rods, snap line, and tell the story for you. Every cast has intent. Every trip has a target.

What makes us different? We share the real chase — the early mornings, the busted-off giants, the fish of a lifetime, and everything in between. No fluff, no clickbait. Just real anglers, real water, and an honest love for the hunt.

Rig Spotlight

🎣 Florida Rig

The perfect setup for heavy cover

The Florida Rig is a variant of the Texas Rig. The weight stays pegged to the hook, letting the bait punch through vegetation and structure without snagging. Perfect for triggering reaction strikes from bass buried in cover.

☀️ When it works best

  • Sunny days
  • Warm water
  • When fish are buried in cover
  • Lakes with heavy vegetation
  • Reaction fishing

💡 Quick tips

  • Green or watermelon in clear water
  • Black/blue in stained water
  • Work it slow through structure
  • Let it fall multiple times in the same spot
  • Excellent for flipping and pitching

🎯 Gear specs

  • Line: Fluorocarbon 12–20 lb / Braid 30–50 lb
  • Bullet weight: 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 3/8 oz
  • Offset hook: 2/0 – 4/0

🔥 Less snags, more brutal strikes. Cast, present, and set the hook!

🎣 Bullet Weights

The shape of your weight changes everything

When chasing black bass, the bullet weight you choose directly affects fall rate, presentation, bite detection, and your ability to fish through cover. It's not just grams — it's shape.

Infographic explaining bullet weight types for black bass fishing

Why the weight type matters

  • Fall — controls how fast your bait reaches the strike zone
  • Presentation — a natural, controlled drop triggers more bites
  • Detection — sensitivity to feel bottom and subtle strikes
  • Cover — some shapes slide through rocks, wood and vegetation better

🎯 Types of bullet weights

  • Conical (Narrow) — aerodynamic, digs into hard bottoms, slips through cover
  • Standard — versatile and balanced; works in most conditions
  • Round — slower fall, more lure action, ideal for subtle presentations
  • Tungsten (Compact) — denser, smaller profile, max sensitivity in heavy cover

💡 Quick guide

  • Rocks, gravel, hard bottom → Conical
  • General use, varied conditions → Standard
  • Clear water, subtle presentation → Round
  • Heavy cover, deep fishing → Tungsten

🔥 Adjust your weight, improve your presentation, and get more bites!
